This site is the home for my media venture, 21st Century Adulting, which includes Critical Culture. My content is delivered here in written form, and on two companion podcasts.

21st Century Adulting contains main categories.

Adulting - A relatively unlimited bucket as diverse as adulting itself. Wellness is a primary focus, along with other everyday advice.

Tradecraft - Code, content, and channels. Tradecraft is informed by a 25+ year career in IT, my 20+ year hobby of creating content for the internet, and my newfound focus on exploring ways to earn my keep by providing value to others online.

Good Stuff - Entertainment, gear, and services. Needful things you should desire.

Critical Culture is the macro view.

The Critical in Critical Culture addresses the podcast’s goal of presenting a critical perspective on the topics that drive humanity. This perspective is grounded in both history and current events, with a focus on ways to improve in the future.

The Culture in Critical Culture addresses the breadth of the topic, encompassing all aspects of our culture and society at the macro level. Most of the episodes deal with public policy and, to a lesser extent, politics.

Why two “brands”?

I had a hard time conceptually dealing with the different topics under one name. It made it easier for me to find my voice as I developed each offering. I’ve grown fond of each as they feed my muse with different perspectives.

Who am I?

I’m a 50-year-old father of 3. As a child, I wanted to work with computers or be a writer. At this point, I’ve had a 25-year IT career and am now ready for a second career as a writer. For my purposes, writer is short-hand for creating any content from the written word to podcasts, videos, and more. Whatever vehicle best allows me to share the perspective I’ve gained over 50 years on this planet.
